1899 - Premier Pedro A. Paterno issues a proclamation of war against the United States after the Philippine Commission failed to secure a promise of cessation of hostilities from General Otis and the Schurman Commission.
1898 - Spanish General Leopoldo Garcia, with 9 infantry troops and 80 artillerymen with arms and ammunition, surrenders to the Filipino forces in Cavite.
1823 - Capitan Andres Novales, with the help of Lieutenant Ruiz, leads a mutiny against Spain and dies in the attempt.
