1950 - Mindoro is divided into two provinces, Oriental & Occidental Mindoro by Republic Act No. 505.

1950 - President Elpidio Quirino signs R.A. No. 507 creating the municipality of Lasam, in Cagayan, in honor of the late Governor Honorio Lasam, 6th governor of Cagayan.

1951 - President Quezon proclaims June 19 as Loyalty Day in view of President Roosevelt’s proclamation of a national emergency.

1899 - Battle of Zapote Bridge, one of the bloodiest battles of the Philippine-American war, in which the American forces under General Henry Lawton, emerge victorious.
